Responsibilities

As a Deli Clerk, you will help customers make healthy food choices by preparing "fresh and easy meals" and providing excellent customer service. Your duties include arranging vegetables or sliced meats for made-to-order sandwiches, assisting with catering orders, and maintaining food safety standards. Opportunities for growth include learning about products, equipment, and customer service excellence. We value those who thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, or a suitable combination of education and experience in grocery, restaurant, or related fields.
• Dependable, reliable, and outgoing with a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Lift/carry up to 70 lbs., move product for up to 20 feet, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
• Operate slicers and cooking equipment safely.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Work in coolers and freezers.
• Other duties as assigned.
