Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Category Manager for the Worldwide Grocery Deli category in Seattle to develop goals, strategies, and assortments tailored to customers. You will manage buying, vendor relationships, and pricing while leading category resets and promotions across multi-channel retail.

The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, negotiation experience, and the ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with ambiguity.

Qualifications

3+ years of Excel experience.
5+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.
Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Innovation: Create data-driven, customer-centric category strategies leveraging insights and trends.
Drive Success: Own the financial performance for the category and plan seasonal strategies.
Curate Assortments: Collaborate with suppliers for best products and lead line reviews and forecasting.
Pricing & Promotion: Shape pricing strategies balancing profitability and customer value.
Item Management: Maintain accurate item-level data ensuring regulatory compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Marketing, Instock, Operations, Trade Planning and Demand Planning.
Dive Deep & Test and Learn: Monitor performance and test new approaches based on data.
Brand Advocacy: Represent brand values and product mission internally and externally.
Mentorship: Coach new team members and share category management best practices.
