Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Certified Food Safety Manager certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Deli Bakery HMS Department in the absence of the Deli Manager.
• Daily labor management and coaching of associates to meet productivity expectations.
• Provide leadership to promote Food Lion's Brand Strategy and Culture.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver excellent customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Use department knowledge to meet or exceed customer expectations.
• Control expenses through proper ordering and inventory care.
• Utilize company tools (ACIS, scheduling, ordering, and business information systems).
• Maintain department appearance, food safety, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Ensure schedules enable extraordinary customer service and biweekly planning.
• Ensure compliance with policies, guidelines, and regulations.
• Record and report accidents; monitor shrink and coaching to prevent losses.
• Maintain security and neat personal appearance; complete CBT and training requirements.
• Meet physical requirements of the position; perform other duties as assigned.
