Edwards Food Giant & Edwards Cash Saver in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Deli-Bakery Manager to oversee daily deli and bakery operations, ensure proper product ordering, inventory control, pricing, merchandising, and staff supervision.

You will train associates, develop attractive displays, maintain safety standards, and drive sales and profitability while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Age 18+
• Experience in deli/bakery/foodservice management preferred; inventory control, pricing and staff supervision beneficial
• Strong leadership and communication skills; detail-oriented
• Knowledge of deli/bakery products and food safety regulations
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong customer service; address needs effectively
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds; stand for extended periods; kitchen environment
• Safe Serv certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the deli and bakery departments, ensuring proper product preparation, customer service, and department cleanliness
• Plan, order, and manage inventory levels to keep items fresh and rotated
• Audit pricing and implement merchandising strategies to drive sales
• Schedule staff and supervise training on equipment use, safety and procedures
• Train associates in food safety, equipment handling, and customer service
• Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and handling inquiries
• Ensure safety and health regulations are followed and equipment is maintained
• Oversee ordering, receiving, storage, labeling and rotation of deli/bakery products
• Create attractive displays and manage promotions to maximize sales
• Analyze sales trends to adjust product offerings and inventory
• Carry out additional duties as assigned by management
