Job summary

Kj’s Market is seeking a Deli/Bakery Department Supervisor to lead daily guest service, oversee staffing, and ensure product quality and safety standards are met. You will manage inventory, ordering, and scheduling while training staff to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, and adherence to merchandising guidelines; candidates should be at least 18 and comfortable with computers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
