Job summary

Kj’s Market in Thomson, GA is seeking a dedicated deli/bakery supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure friendly guest service, and manage inventory per company standards.

You will train staff, monitor budgets, and oversee product preparation, receiving, stocking, and compliance with sanitation guidelines. This role emphasizes teamwork and strong communication to drive sales and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in deli operations or retail food service preferred.
• Ability to train and develop staff.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets company standards and sanitation guidelines.
• Maintain department safety and sanitation standards.
• Provide training and feedback to deli staff to ensure performance.
• Handle product prep, receiving, stocking and guest service.
• Maintain labor budgets and scheduling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Make PA announcements as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the deli/bakery department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the deli/bakery department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure deli department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
• Performs PA announcements.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Knowledge of deli operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Store Manager and Merchandiser.
• Ability to work well with computers.
