Responsibilities

• Engage peers to deliver the best possible shopping experience for customers at checkout.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily tasks.
• Mentor and coach teammates to meet customer service and sales goals.
• Support training of new teammates and cross-train high-potential staff.
• Assist department leadership with scheduling to boost engagement and store performance.
• Ensure product freshness through proper rotation and dating policies.
• Uphold food safety standards and safe work practices.
• Lead efforts in ordering, receiving, stocking, pricing, and displays as needed.
• Foster Meijer culture, valuing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Operate registers and handle cash when required; use powered equipment as applicable.
• Participate in period-end inventories and other duties as assigned.
