Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience delivering full customer service cycle.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Food safety certification; if not certified, obtain within 1 month.
• Basic math skills: counting, addition and subtraction.

Responsibilities

• Follows labeling, dating, packaging guidelines for display and buffet cases.
• Serves case items following pricing, packaging, and weighing procedures.
• Orders, receives, and merchandises products with sanitation and quality standards.
• Replenishes products to ensure freshness and visibility.
• Maintains accurate, attractive signage within the department.
• Assists customers by answering questions about deli-bakery items.
• Ensures proper sanitation, labeling, dating and pricing per procedures.
• Prioritizes prep work, stocking, cleaning, and customer service for efficiency.
• Creates welcoming environment and provides helpful, respectful service to customers.
• Assists in inventory counts and storewide cleaning as needed.
• Reinforces safety procedures and reports unsafe conditions.
