Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services at Sheppard AFB, TX is seeking a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to support military personnel and families. The role covers deli tasks, tray prep, and fast-paced service with a friendly, team-oriented approach.

The job involves slicing meats, assembling sandwiches, stocking displays, and maintaining sanitation. Weekend availability is required; roughly 20 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed
• Effective and friendly communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Some weekend shifts are required
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer’s request.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stock and organize displays, to include helping with shipments as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks as needed.

As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services you will have the opportunity to serve our nation’s Military personnel and their families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations. This is Not a government job- Everyone welcome! Part-time Deli-Bakery Associate with weekend availability, approximately 20 hours a week.
