Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is hiring a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at Barksdale AFB, LA. You will serve our nation’s military personnel and their families, slice deli meats, prepare party trays, and keep displays stocked.

Weekend availability and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required. MDBS offers competitive pay, paid time off after 1 year, holiday pay, a 401(k), flexible scheduling, and shifts that typically end around 7:00 pm.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time.
• Team player.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus!
• Some weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Stock and organize displays, to include helping with shipments as needed.

• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks as needed.

Part time position- Offering up to 29 hours a week. Mid to closing including weekends. You must be available both Saturday and Sunday to be considered.
