Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking a part-time Deli Bakery Associate at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. You will provide friendly service to military families, slice meats and cheeses, assemble party trays, and keep displays stocked with a strong emphasis on food safety.

Candidates must be at least 18, willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks, and able to work mornings, mid shifts, and some Sundays. Prior grocery or retail experience is a plus, and a positive team attitude is essential.

• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus!

Responsibilities

• Maintains an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer service, teamwork with positive communication, and assist other team members as needed.
• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer's request.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stock and organize displays, to include helping with shipments as needed.
• Ensure proper sanitation of the department, equipment, and proper food handling/preparation.
• Demonstrates the ability to work in fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks as needed.

As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services you will have the opportunity to serve our nation’s Military personnel and their families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations. Part time position- Must be available to work morning, mid shifts and Sundays to be considered.

Job Description:

• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift
• Tolerates working in freezers for up to 20 minutes at a time
• Team player
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus!
• Some weekend shifts are required
