Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services seeks a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to serve our nation’s Military personnel and families at a US Military Commissary location. You will slice meats, prepare party trays, stock displays, and maintain sanitation.

Training across deli and bakery tasks is available, with potential for career growth within MDBS. The role emphasizes enthusiastic customer service, teamwork, and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
• Team player with a positive attitude.
• Grocery, food service or retail experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Slices deli meats and cheeses to customer requests.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches accordingly.
• Stocks and organizes displays and helps with shipments.
• Ensures proper sanitation of the department and food handling.
• Works in a fast-paced environment and handles stressful situations.
• Other duties may include cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken preparation, or other deli/bakery tasks.
