Job summary

Military Deli & Bakery Services in California is seeking a part-time Deli Bakery Associate to serve military personnel and families at one of our 103 locations. You will slice deli meats, prepare sandwiches, stock displays, and assist with shipments while maintaining sanitation and a fast-paced service standard.

Cross-training in bakery and deli tasks is available; weekend shifts may be required. Great teamwork and customer service are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Willing to cross-train in bakery and deli tasks as needed.
• Effective and friendly communication skills.
• Knowledge of basic math and ability to follow written guidelines.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Stand and walk for an entire shift, and tolerate freezers up to 20 minutes.
• Team player with grocery, food service or retail experience a plus.
• Some weekend shifts are required.

Responsibilities

• Slices deli meats and cheeses to order.
• Prepares custom party trays and makes sandwiches.
• Stocks and organizes displays and helps with shipments.
• Ensures proper sanitation and food handling.
• Maintains speed in a fast-paced environment and handles stress.
• May assist with cake decorating, baking, rotisserie chicken prep, or other tasks.

Deli Bakery Associate – Part TimeHiring Immediately!As a Deli Bakery Associate at Military Deli & Bakery Services you will have the opportunity to serve our nation’s Military personnel and their families at one of our 103 US Military Commissary locations. At MDBS our number one goal is to demonstrate a love for food and a passion for people while creating an excellent customer service experience for our well-deserving military customers!This is Not a government job- Everyone welcome!
