Military Deli & Bakery Services is seeking an Assistant Manager/Shift Lead to support a busy deli/bakery operation serving military personnel and families. You will help manage 5-10 staff, oversee daily duties, uphold food safety, and ensure excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes inventory, scheduling, training, and collaboration with commissary leadership to meet store objectives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grocery or 2+ years food service experience.
• Previous shift lead/management experience mandatory.
• Ability to stand and walk short distances for an entire shift.
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist Deli/Bakery Manager in providing leadership in the department.
• Direct and manage 5-10 employees.
• Maintain high levels of customer service and safety standards.
• Oversee inventory tracking and ordering of materials.
• Assist in scheduling and training employees.
