Job summary

The GIANT Company is hiring for a deli/food service team member in the Pennsylvania location. The role focuses on entering orders, scheduling work, supervising and training team members, and stocking items in deli, carryout, café, and cheese sections.

You will ensure proper food safety, assist customers, prepare and label foods, and maintain sanitation and adherence to SOPs. Authorized US work status and safety certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations
• Must complete a food safety certification every 5 years
• Meet ergonomic and physical requirements
• Meet the company performance standards
• Must be able to use or learn to use the equipment used to perform the job

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule at start of shift and prepare duties.
• Perform markdowns and track loss.
• Prepare and stock deli, carryout, café, and cheese as per SOP.
• Clean and sanitize surfaces, tools, equipment, display cases, floors, and counters.
• Make sandwiches, wraps, and label for display.
• Prepare and cook pizza and chicken; package and label food for customers.
• Assist customers and portion deli items; weigh and label products.
• Stock grab-and-go case; handle chicken and roasting tasks; manage oil and fryer.
• Maintain negative/change pricing per SOP; train staff on smoker program (if applicable).
• Follow loss-tracking processes and complete sanitation logs and production planning.
