Job summary

The NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities seeks an Executive Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) leader to guide workplace strategy, training, and governance. The EOS 3 will report to the Assistant Director and collaborate with the Chief Diversity Officer to advance equity, linguistic competence, and accessibility across OPWDD.

You will coach and supervise DEI staff, deliver innovative programs, lead annual surveys and reporting, and build cross‑agency partnerships.

Qualifications

• Eight years of experience in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, or human rights; supervisory experience required for at least one year.
• State service in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, minority business, employment compliance, human resources, or training at or above Grade 23 for at least one year.

Responsibilities

• Lead DEI Office interdivisional partnerships and coordinate with divisions and units.
• Design and implement DEIA training and cultural/linguistic competence initiatives.
• Develop and oversee DEIA strategic plan implementation and progress reporting.
• Oversee staff development, mentorship, and performance to ensure equitable outcomes.
