Job summary

Qualifications

• Nine years of qualifying experience in equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, civil rights, minority business development, or related programs, with at least two years in a supervisory role.
• One year of State service in an equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, minority business, employee compliance, human resources, or training position at or above SG-23.

Responsibilities

• Advises agency management on diversity and inclusion and equal opportunity matters at DFS.
• Develops and delivers DEI programming in coordination with Training Unit.
• Reviews personnel actions to ensure fairness and equity; participates in examination planning and candidate sourcing meetings to emphasize equal opportunity.
• Builds relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote DEI messaging and staff recruitment, development, and retention.
• Maintains internal reports to measure DFS diversity goals and monitors laws and trends influencing DEI programs.
