The Center for Global Development (CGD), an independent, non-partisan research organization in Washington, DC is seeking a thoughtful, highly productive, and experienced professional to help drive forward our important work on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), with a special emphasis on partnering with hiring teams on recruiting efforts. The DEI and Recruitment Associate plays a central role in CGD's ongoing DEI initiatives as serves as a creative force for new opportunities to expand our talent pipeline, diversify external partnerships with universities, and turn the DEI lens inward at our own policies and practices. The Associate serves as the co-chair of the DEI Committee and leads planning, recruiting, and management of CGD's Summer Delegates internship program in Washington, DC. The DEI and Recruitment Associate leads all recruitment efforts, partnering internally with hiring teams to plan and carry out the recruitment process, brining an equity focus to all our actions. The incumbent will perform a range of planning, design, support, and implementation functions to ensure the success of CGD’s DEI efforts, such as planning professional development sessions, facilitating staff training, and other activities to build a learning and growth culture. Additionally, the successful candidate will support the VP of HR in other aspects of DEI and recruiting strategy including outreach, partnering internally with different functional teams, and reviewing/refining processes for efficiency and greater equity. The incumbent must be able to exercise discretion, good judgment, and significant initiative, while operating at times with minimal supervision.
