Zusammenfassung

Treatment Alternatives for Stronger Communities (TASC) is seeking a full-time Deflection Specialist to support the DART Deflection Initiative across Vermillion, Coles, Douglas, Piatt, Dewitt, and Mclean Counties in Illinois.

The role focuses on outreach, education, and training to connect clients with services, Medicaid enrollment, and housing, while serving as the public face of TASC in designated areas.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• Experience in outreach or direct client services is preferred.
• CADC preferred at time of hire.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet tools.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Provide outreach to connect clients with services and resources.
• Make referrals to substance use treatment, housing, and support services.
• Attend events to educate and engage the community about diversion and resources.
• Assist enrollment for Medicaid for uninsured individuals when needed.
• Follow up to obtain items needed for participants.
• Build relationships with project staff, partners, and law enforcement.
• Represent the program at community events and with TASC.
• Deliver ongoing trainings on program goals and naloxone distribution.
• Work with participants to assess needs and coordinate services.
