Job summary

Linn County Department of Health Services is seeking Addictions Specialist 1, 2, or 3 for the Adult Treatment Team - Deflection Program. These on-site, SEIU represented roles focus on outreach, screenings, and ASAM assessments to determine diagnosis and level of care, connecting clients to treatment and supports.

The program provides outpatient substance use disorder and co‑occurring mental health services to adults and families, including clients on parole or probation.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field.
• Clinical addiction treatment experience and eligibility for state certification vary by level.
• Licensing or certification requirements progress with level (CADC/LPCC/LCSW as applicable).

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient substance use disorder and co‑occurring treatment services to adults and families.
• Conduct evaluations, individual/group/family therapy, case management, and community education.
• Coordinate with Parole/Probation and DHS Child Welfare; some evening work and travel to clinics.
