TASC is seeking a Deflection Specialist to join the WISE Deflection Initiative serving Rock Island, Knox, Mercer, Henry, and Warren Counties. The role centers on outreach, education, and training on substance use disorders, community resources, pre-arrest diversion, and related topics.

The successful candidate will be the public face of TASC in the targeted areas, delivering direct client services, building partner relationships, and coordinating with community stakeholders to advance recovery

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CRSS/CPRS/CADC credentials preferred.
• At least 1 year of outreach-related direct client services.
• Experience giving community presentations and trainings.
• Knowledge of local treatment providers and human behavior.

Responsabilidades

• Assist individuals in achieving service goals via direct services and coordination with behavioral health, public agencies, and community resources.
• Develop positive relationships and help plan and meet service goals.
• Provide outreach to enroll participants in the program.
• Make referrals and warm handoffs to needed services.
• Deliver education and awareness on deflection and naloxone distribution.
• Represent the program at community events.
• Coordinate with partners, law enforcement, and staff.
• Conduct enrollment assistance for Medicaid when needed.
