Job summary

The Newberry Group is seeking an experienced Cyber Countermeasure Specialist to support the Joint Fires Network in a secure SCIF on Ford Island, HI. This full‑time onsite role focuses on deploying and maintaining defensive countermeasures, tuning sensors, and coordinating containment actions across multiple nodes.

You will work with Corelight, Elastic Defend, and Jira to create playbooks, validate pipelines, and ensure DIA TS/SCI spill containment standards are met, with a $10k sign‑on bonus and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related discipline (Level II).
• Alternative: Associate degree with 4+ years or 6+ years of experience in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

• Engineer, validate, deploy, and maintain defensive countermeasures and containment workflows.
• Tune advanced network sensors (Corelight, Elastic Defend) across multiple JFN nodes.
• Develop and enforce threat containment playbooks and integration with JIRA.
• Ensure SCIF operations meet TS/SCI and DIA containment standards.
