Job summary

The Newberry Group is seeking an experienced Cyber Countermeasure Specialist to join the DISA PAC team at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor, HI. This full-time on-site role requires DoD Top Secret/SCI eligibility; relocation assistance may be available.

Salary ranges from $115,000 to $150,000 annually, with potential for a $10,000 sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include developing boundary defenses, managing signature lifecycles, and coordinating with DoD and partner organizations to safeguard the DoDIN

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity or related field with 2+ years of CND or security tooling experience.
• DoD 8140/8570 baseline certifications (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Experience with intrusion detection/prevention systems and signature management.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and deploy custom detection signatures for antivirus, IDS/IPS, and content filtering.
• Manage lifecycle of detection rules, with monthly reporting and tuning.
• Coordinate responses with DISA, USPACOM, and other DoD entities; operate in SCIF environments.
