Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Technical Program Manager for Defense Systems in Mukilteo, WA. You will lead complex aerospace programs, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customers to meet technical and contractual commitments.

Role emphasizes hardware-focused work in high-temperature materials, composites, propulsion tech, and space/defense applications, with onsite collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
• At least 5 years of engineering experience, including 2+ years in aerospace or systems engineering.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams.
• Hands-on hardware product development experience from concept to delivery.
• Experience managing cost, schedule, scope, and risks on hardware-focused programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering teams in design, development, analysis, and testing of hardware components.
• Guide programs through planning, development, qualification, production, and delivery with cost, schedule, and risk oversight.
• Collaborate with engineering to drive execution and impact program performance.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and leadership for alignment and status updates.
• Support business development with proposal input and capture activities.
• Ensure complete documentation of engineering activities and executive-presentations.
• Track program metrics, identify risks, and implement mitigation plans.
• Lead technical reviews and milestone reviews to ensure readiness and compliance.
