Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. in Bedford, NH is seeking an Information Technology Intern to support and maintain the company’s technology infrastructure.

This internship offers exposure to technical support, network administration, software/hardware maintenance, and more. You will gain hands-on experience across IT projects, documentation, asset management, and security practices in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's in information technology or related field.
• Current certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA) desired.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networks and IT fundamentals.
• Familiarity with Office365 and common software applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support to end users by troubleshooting routine hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with the installation, setup, and maintenance of computers, peripherals, and standard company software.
• Help update and maintain IT documentation, including knowledge base articles, user guides, and inventory records.
• Support IT asset management activities, including equipment tracking and coordination with procurement.
• Participate in IT projects such as software deployments, system upgrades, and workstation refreshes.
• Follow IT policies, security practices, and procedural standards while learning industry best practices.
• Escalate issues appropriately and collaborate with team members to ensure timely resolution of support requests.
• Other duties as assigned
