Job summary

Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking a Contracts Administration Intern to gain hands-on experience across contract lifecycle management, proposals, and T&Cs review in a fast-paced defense environment.

You will work with Contracts, Program Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, Quality, and other teams to support document preparation, compliance analysis, and process improvements while learning ITAR and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or advanced degree program in business management/administration, contract administration, law or closely related field.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, writing, and editing skills.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and in a team.
• Experience with MS Office Suite and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Support the Contracts team in creating, reviewing, and editing various types of agreements and contract documents, gaining hands-on experience in end-to-end contract lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with the Contracts and Program Management teams to format and organize documents for proposal submissions, aligning with standards and customer specs.
• Conduct preliminary analysis of contract terms and conditions under guidance, highlighting key areas for compliance review and risk assessment.
• Participate in initiatives to enhance departmental processes, such as workflow automation and contract tracking methods.
• Work with Program Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and Quality to provide contracts-related support and cross-functional understanding.
• Help maintain records and assist with reporting on contracts metrics to support decision-making.
• Gain familiarity with regulatory requirements and help ensure compliance with policies and laws.
• Other duties as assigned.
