Safran Defense & Space, Inc. is seeking an Software Engineering Intern in Bedford, NH, to support embedded software development for military sensors and laser range-finders.

The role focuses on designing, coding and testing software across multiple stages of the product life cycle, with emphasis on hardware-software integration. The intern will work with C/C++ on Windows, participate in code reviews and documentation, and gain experience with version control (SVN, Git) in a fast-paced defense

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE or related field.
• Proficiency in C and C++ on Windows platforms.
• Ability to integrate hardware and software to form complete systems.
• Experience with revision control systems (SVN, Git).
• Strong communication, organization and teamwork skills.
• US Citizenship or Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Support embedded software design and development for military sensors and laser range-finder systems.
• Assist in coding, debugging and testing across software languages.
• Contribute to software development documentation and release procedures.
• Support requirements analysis, code reviews and software verification activity.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure software and hardware integration.
• Perform duties as assigned by the team.
