Job summary

V2X Inc in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a DoD-focused Solutions Architect to lead the development of technical solutions, system architectures, and comprehensive proposal volumes to win competitive DoD pursuits. You will bridge capture strategy and engineering execution, translating DoD requirements into cohesive architectures across land, air, and sea.

The role requires MBSE experience, system modeling (SysML/MBSE), proficiency with MIL-STD interfaces, and strong collaboration with DoD customers

Qualifications

• 15+ years of systems, software, or hardware engineering experience delivering complex solutions from concept through deployment.
• Proven track record partnering with DoD requirements officers and system owners to shape technical visions.
• Strong MBSE experience using SysML and related modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Define and articulate technically discriminating solution architectures and high-impact win themes for major DoD acquisitions.
• Develop and maintain system models (SysML/MBSE) to validate architectures and support Trade-Space analysis in capture scenarios.
• Translate disparate DoD inputs (BAAs, RFIs, requirements docs) into cohesive end-to-end system architectures.
• Lead technical solution development for competitive pursuits—craft architecture diagrams and interface specs.
• Identify technical risks early, propose mitigation plans, and guide teams through trade-space decisions.
• Author and integrate the Technical Volume, ensuring alignment with Cost, Management, and Schedule.
• Collaborate with Business Development and Chief Engineer to align capture strategy and influence pursuit decisions.
• Engage with DoD acquisition officers to refine roadmaps and ensure architectures meet real-world needs.
• Work with software, hardware, and integration engineers to validate interoperability and oversee V&V activities.
