Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense seeks an experienced Accounting & Financial Analyst to support defense programs by budgeting, forecasting, modeling, cost analysis and reporting. This high‑visibility role partners with program managers, engineering and business leaders to drive performance and strategic insights.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/FP&A, advanced Excel skills, and a solid grasp of GAAP and government contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, FP&A, program or project finance, or related roles.
• Advanced Excel for financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Must have U.S. Citizenship due to government contract requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals and month‑end close.
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances.
• Support monthly/quarterly/year‑end close processes and internal controls.
• Develop financial models, forecasts, budgets, and scenario analyses.
• Monitor program budgets, actuals and funding utilization across portfolios.
• Provide financial analysis and decision support to program managers.
