Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. in Huntsville, AL, seeks an Obsolescence & Logistics Analyst to assess microelectronic and COTS component availability for Army platforms and to advise on sustainment and supply chain solutions.

You will analyze obsolescence risks and coordinate with OEMs and the DLA to inform engineering decisions and program offices. The role requires US citizenship, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years in logistics, and the ability to obtain a DoD secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years related experience in the logistics field or transferrable experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoW secret clearance.
• Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Access, Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Excellent communication, presentation and customer interface skills required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, organize, plan and administer provisioning, spares, or maintenance activities for programs using established procedures.
• Provide obsolescence research, mitigation solutions, and engineering recommendations with specialization in reverse engineering and hardware design.
• Coordinate with OEMs and DLA to identify sustainment and supply chain issues and report obsolescence metrics.
• Interface with part manufacturers to verify part numbers, qualified manufacturers, part availability, and NSN’s for electronic parts and COTS items.
• Support reverse engineering of hybrid chip sets, ASICs, and custom devices not in standard catalogs.
• Develop requirements, specifications, and verification procedures for electronics components from weapon system tear-downs.
