Job summary

Torch Technologies in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Software Analyst to support defense and engineering programs. You will develop analytical tools, perform system-level evaluations, and contribute to mission-critical solutions in a fast-paced technical environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in C, C++, Java, Python, and MATLAB, with experience across SDLC and verification/validation. Active security clearance and a Bachelor's degree are required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Computer Science, Software, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, Java, Python, HTML and MATLAB.
• Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of military and software development standards, and software requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Linux technologies.
• Active security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review plans and reports to ensure system and software operate and comply with requirements.
• Review design, system and test documentation related to requirements and test output.
• Provide technical expertise in data analyzed through verification and validation processes.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to solve complex engineering challenges.
• Develop post-processing analysis tools and visualizations to evaluate system performance.
• Perform detailed performance analyses and suggest improvements to architecture or algorithms.
• Support and develop automation platforms (e.g., Jenkins) by creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting pipeline jobs, scripts, and plugins.
