Job summary

Singularity Defense in Gardena, CA seeks a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead day‑to‑day marketing and external communications, from strategy to hands‑on execution. As the first in‑house marketing hire, you will shape visual branding, own creative production, and drive trade show and media presence.

You’ll partner with executive leadership, program teams, and Business Development to deliver compelling materials and compliant communications across channels.

Qualifications

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills across audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and cross‑functional projects.
• Experience with web CMS, marketing automation, and CRM platforms.
• Ability to analyze performance data and optimize campaigns.
• Self‑starter capable of owning function end‑to‑end.
• Experience directing photo/video production and brand visuals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the marketing/communications strategy aligned with product roadmap and BD priorities.
• Maintain brand standards across channels; own website, social, newsletters, data sheets, case studies and collateral.
• Lead creative production, including video and photography, with vendors as needed.
• Write and distribute press releases; build relationships with trade press and analysts.
• Coordinate trade shows, conferences, and partner events; support executive briefings and collateral.
• Partner with BD on pitch materials, customer briefings, and proposal content.
• Track engagement metrics and report results to leadership for future strategy.
• Coordinate with Legal/Security/Export Control to ensure ITAR/EAR compliance for external communications.
• Support internal communications and help build the marketing function as the company grows.
