Job summary

Singularity Defense Corp. in Gardena, CA, is seeking a Marketing & Communications Manager to lead day-to-day marketing from strategy through hands-on execution.

This is the first in-house marketing hire, responsible for building the visual brand, messaging, and materials while coordinating with executive leadership, program teams, and Business Development. The role requires a track record of creating go-to-market strategies for technical products, deep writing/editing skills, and experience with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or PR.
• Five+ years of progressive experience in marketing or communications, preferably in aerospace/defense or regulated industries.
• Experience developing go-to-market and comms strategy for technical or complex products.
• Experience building or scaling a marketing function at an early-stage or growth-stage company.
• Working knowledge of export control considerations (ITAR/EAR) applicable to marketing, or ability to acquire quickly.
• Superior writing, editing, and executive communication skills for varied audiences.
• Experience planning and executing a company's presence at industry trade shows and conferences.
• U.S. Person status under ITAR due to access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute marketing and communications strategy aligned with product roadmap and BD priorities.
• Maintain brand standards across channels; own website, social channels, newsletters, data sheets, and collateral.
• Own creative production and visual branding; manage product launch videos and vendor relationships.
• Write and distribute press releases; build relationships with defense media and industry analysts.
• Coordinate trade shows, conferences, and partner events; craft booth strategy and collateral.
• Partner with Business Development on pitch materials, briefs, and proposals.
• Track engagement metrics; report results to leadership to inform strategy.
• Coordinate with Legal, Security, and Export Control to ensure all communications comply with ITAR/EAR.
• Support internal comms on company strategy and announcements.
• Help build and scale the marketing function, manage agency relationships and marketing tech stack.
