GM Defense in Warren, Michigan leads cross-functional programs from pre-award support through contract execution. You will integrate customer requirements, manage cost/schedule/performance, and align internal teams to deliver successful outcomes.

The role requires leadership in ambiguous environments, strong government/customer communication, and the ability to drive program success across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering functions.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in program management or an equivalent discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in the defense industry (commercial or U.S. government).
• Candidate must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee or refugee).
• U.S. citizenship required to comply with federal government contract provision expressly restricting role to U.S. citizens.
• Eligible to obtain Secret U.S. Security Clearance after hire.
• Demonstrated success developing and leading high-performing cross-functional teams.
• Strong written, verbal, and executive-level communication skills.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity, solve complex problems.

• Lead cross-functional teams through the full program lifecycle and align stakeholders to objectives.
• Support capture and pre-contract activities through resource planning and risk assessment.
• Direct execution against contractual requirements ensuring cost, schedule, and performance commitments.
• Translate customer requirements into executable work structures and schedules.
• Develop and manage program budgets and monitor financial performance.
• Define performance measures and provide executive status reporting.
• Identify and mitigate program risks and opportunities.
• Engage government customers, primes, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
