Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Program Management Intern for GM Defense in Warren, MI to support defense program execution, budgets, schedules, contracts, and performance reporting. You will gain hands-on experience across financial management, forecasting, and cross-functional program delivery.

This 12-week summer internship requires full-time availability, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate across teams.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in full-time degree program and near graduation.
• Must be graduating between Dec 2027 and Aug 2029 with one term remaining.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week for 12-week internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Support program budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Assist with monthly reviews, including actuals and variance analysis.
• Track costs, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Prepare dashboards and management materials.
• Organize information for program and contract reviews.
