Job summary

Leidos in Long Beach, Mississippi, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support defense maritime programs by improving safety, quality, efficiency and manufacturability. You will assist with work instructions, tooling, production documentation, engineering drawings, and troubleshooting production issues.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial/Systems or Aerospace Engineering with <2 years of experience, knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts, and experience with Costpoint/Solumina; a SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one is required. Lean experience and Power BI are a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial/Systems, or Aerospace Engineering with <2 years of relevant experience.
Experience with traditional manufacturing process tools including ERP/MES applications.
Requires in-depth knowledge of manufacturing engineering concepts and principles.
Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio (or equivalent).
Active SECRET security clearance or ability to obtain one.
