Lydecker seeks an Associate Attorney in New York with 2–5 years of civil defense litigation experience to join the General Liability practice. You will handle a variety of cases under a partner's supervision, including depositions, motions, discovery, and trial preparation.

Candidates must hold NY and CT bar licenses in good standing, possess a JD from an ABA‑approved school, and demonstrate strong client communication and independent work ethic. The position offers a hybrid work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Requires NY and CT bar in good standing.
• JD from ABA approved law school required.
• 2–5 years of civil defense litigation experience.
• Experience with depositions, motions, discovery, and trial prep.

Responsibilities

• Billings and respond to petitions, complaints, motions, and written discovery.
• Attend hearings and meetings with clients as requested.
• Prepare for and attend depositions.
• Assist with mediations and trials.
