Job summary

Aerotek in Irvine, CA seeks a dedicated Switch Assembler to join our growing defense-grade electronics team. You will perform assembly and testing of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electronic products, reading blueprints, and following strict process specifications.

The role requires 2 years of assembly experience, proficiency with wiring and soldering, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs. This onsite contract-to-hire position offers benefits and opportunities for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of assembly experience.
• Proficiency in wiring, crimping, and small parts assembly.
• Ability to read and write in English, especially for reading blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical assembly, soldering, IPC, J standard, and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and schematics independently.
• Follow router processes accurately.
• Assemble sub-assemblies and final assemblies according to quality specifications.
• Perform testing on assigned products as required.
• Disassemble and rework products returned from customers when needed.
• Read and understand documentation such as prints, bills of material, and bills of operation.
• Submit inaccurate paperwork for correction and recommend changes.
• Meet or exceed established production time and quality standards.
• Use all materials and equipment in accordance with the code of safe practices.
• Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Utilize computer skills effectively.
