Job summary

Stray Systemes in Irvine, CA is seeking a Factory Technician for our on-site production team. This contract role involves hands-on assembly, QA inspections, and continuous improvement to support fast-paced output.

You will work with SMT and through-hole equipment, and collaborate across assembly, test, and shipping. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of electronics manufacturing experience, strong soldering skills, and comfort with ERP systems.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or production.
• Proven skills in soldering, IPC-A-610 awareness, ESD handling, and reading assembly drawings/work instructions.
• Experience with QA (Quality Assurance) processes, first article inspection, and basic test equipment experience.
• Comfortable using and learning new inventory/ERP systems for material movement and data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to doing it right the first time, with excellent time management skills.
• Reliable and punctual – production starts upon arrival.

Responsibilities

• Product Assembly: Hand and machine assembly of products, proprietary components, and finished goods on a fast-paced line.
• Quality Assurance: Perform in-process and final QA inspections using specialized tools and visual standards; document defects and suggest fixes.
• Production Support: Set up workstations, run SMT/reflow/through-hole equipment, and meet daily output targets.
• Inventory Management: Kit parts, cycle count, transact material in the ERP system, and flag shortages to keep the line moving.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify waste, safety risks, or yield issues; suggest and implement process improvements and cost savings.
• Cross-training: Flex between assembly, test, rework, and shipping as needed; maintain team-oriented mindset.
