Job summary

Acara Solutions in Simi Valley, CA is seeking an Electrical Assembler for a temp-to-hire role in defense manufacturing. You will perform hands-on assembly, including soldering under a microscope, wire harness fabrication, connector crimping, and light mechanical assembly.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years soldering and wire harnessing experience, current MIL-STD/J-STD/IPC certifications, and the ability to read schematics and work under visual inspection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years soldering and wire harnessing experience.
• Current solder certification MIL-STD-2000/J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 or NASA-STD-8739.3.
• Minimum 3 years soldering components and wires to PWB under a microscope.
• Must read and speak English fluently.
• Must pass soldering demonstration and vision tests.

Responsibilities

• Tin wires and component leads using solder pot.
• Solder under microscope.
• Use thermal wire strippers.
• Crimp electrical connectors using Mil-Std. crimping tools.
• Fabricate and install wire harnesses.
• Light mechanical assembly.
• Install and torque screws and nuts.
• Bonding and staking.
• Lacing and spot-tying wire harnesses.
• Installing switches, jacks, meters, relays, and wire into the chassis.
• Use various chemicals such as Alcohol, Epoxies, RTV Silicones and Conformal coating.
