Job summary

Caterpillar Defense in Dallas, TX is seeking a Program Manager, Electric Power to lead strategic programs delivering electric power solutions to DoD and allied customers. You will manage cross‑functional teams across engineering, product, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure performance, reliability, cost, and on‑time delivery.

You will translate customer requirements into viable products, drive lifecycle execution from concept to sustainment, and communicate status with leadership

Qualifications

• Experience leading defense or governmental programs.
• Demonstrated experience in machine and component product development, applying engineering principles across development lifecycle.
• Strong background in electric power program leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple complex Electric Power programs and business growth initiatives for U.S. and international defense customers.
• Define and translate customer requirements into executable program plans and deliverable solutions.
• Lead cross‑functional teams to develop and deliver electric power solutions for defense applications.
• Align customer needs with Caterpillar's products, technologies, and capabilities to develop customized power solutions.
• Set program scope, objectives, schedules, budgets, and resources; track progress and ensure alignment with priorities.
• Identify risks and drive mitigation strategies to ensure successful program execution.
• Coordinate internal stakeholders to resolve technical, operational, and commercial issues throughout the lifecycle.
• Negotiate changes involving scope, schedule, pricing, tech requirements, suppliers, and contracts.
