Job summary

Rhoads Industries, a historic family-owned leader in industrial fabrication and maritime services, seeks a Contracts Specialist to manage and oversee department contracts. You will ensure consistency with management policies, handle acquisitions, and maintain a central contract file while supporting government contracting complexity.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3–5 years in contracts administration, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Certified Federal Contract Manager (CFCM) preferred.
• 3–5 years of contracts administration or related experience with cost-reimbursable contracts.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Proficiency with federal contracting principles and contract administration practices.
• Ability to read and interpret contractual documents and financial reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe or similar tools.
• Strong attention to detail and project coordination abilities.
• Ability to obtain government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee contracts for the department in accordance with goals, policies, and procedures.
• Handle acquisition, distribution, and storage of purchases.
• Incorporate clarifications and amendments into final contracts.
• Maintain and audit a central contract-resource file and ensure procedural controls are in place.
• Support defense-related contracting and compliance with FAR/DFARS.
