Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector seeks a Contracts Manager 3 to lead a contracts team supporting growth within the Propulsion & Controls Operating Unit - Air and Market Defense. This on-site role in Elkton, MD reports to the Contracts Director.

The candidate will manage all aspects of the contracts portfolio, ensure customer satisfaction, and drive financial performance while mitigating risk and guiding new business strategy. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Two routes to qualify: Bachelor’s with 10+ years or Master’s with 8+ years; an additional 4+ years can substitute for a degree.
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance.
• Strong contract management knowledge and experience with FAR/DFAR.

Responsibilities

• Lead a contracts team delivering strong customer satisfaction and financial performance.
• Advise across functions on RFPs, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements; ITAR knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specs.
• Advise OU/BU on rights and obligations; assess risk and strategic priorities; analyze data.
• Travel may be required to support engagements; work a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off.
