Job summary

Rocketdyne in Mason, OH is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support its DoD-focused space programs. You will manage electronics and other components, create RFQs/RFPs, and drive supplier selections to meet schedule and cost goals.

The role requires at least 6 years in defense procurement and manufacturing, with strong negotiation skills, ERP experience (Costpoint, SAP), and a solid understanding of AS9100/ITAR compliance. This is a high-responsibility, cross-functional position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of defense/aerospace procurement experience.
• Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and inventory optimization.
• Familiarity with AS9100, FAA, DoD, or ITAR requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure components and subassemblies including electronics and mechanical items.
• Manage POs, RFQs, and RFPs; evaluate proposals and maintain PO issuance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and NDAs; support cost reduction.
• Lead source selection and perform cost/price analyses.
• Monitor supplier performance and support IPTs.
