Job summary

Intel Foundry is seeking a Defect Metrology Technician to support 300mm semiconductor manufacturing in Phoenix. You will perform defect analysis, calibrate metrology equipment, and collaborate with Yield and Metrology teams to drive process improvements in a high‑tech fab.

This on‑site role offers shifts (4/5/6/7) with a compressed work week, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package including holidays and vacation.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of hands-on experience or military technical experience.
• Associate or higher STEM education with equipment maintenance exposure.
• Proficiency with user-level computer operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed defect analysis (CD, overlay, film thickness, stress, bow, roughness) using metrology tools.
• Identify and classify defects based on criteria and standards.
• Collect and analyze defect density, size distribution, and other metrics.
• Regularly maintain and calibrate metrology equipment for accuracy.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs with maintenance/field service.
