Job summary

Freedom Mortgage is seeking a Specialist to manage default-related dispositions and charge-offs. You will review FHA/VA loans, evaluate property risk, and prepare recommendations to maximize recoveries. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel.

As an individual contributor, you will coordinate with Default teams and investors, ensuring timely processing and accurate data in systems of record. High school diploma and 2–4 years of related experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of FHA, VA and GSE claims guidelines.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Microsoft Office experience and advanced Excel knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Review vacant FHA and VA loans prior to foreclosure sale for disposition decisions.
• Recommend resolutions to recover funds quickly and efficiently.
• Review investor/insurer claims on REO properties for QC.
• Provide feedback to update the Disposition Model per guidelines.
• Develop written recommendations for charge offs and present to leadership.
• Coordinate communications with investors and internal departments.
