Job summary

Summit Public Schools is seeking an English Teacher for SY26-27 in Daly City, CA. The role requires a California Teaching Credential and a Bachelor’s Degree, with an emphasis on project-based learning and strong collaboration within a mission-driven team.

You will guide students through long-term advisory relationships, implement Summit’s common curriculum, and contribute to a diverse and inclusive school environment. The salary range is $63,718–$99,987 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Teaching Credential in California or another US state.
• Bachelor’s Degree (a Master’s Degree in Education is preferred, but not required).
• Clear health and background check.
• Teaching experience in your subject is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• See sample teacher schedules and time blocks (8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. typical).
• Teach project-based time with deep learning experiences and student data-informed planning.
• Build mentor relationships with a small group of students daily.
• Facilitate self-directed learning time and interventions as needed.
• Participate in regular after-school faculty collaboration and development.
