Job summary

C.A. Fortune, a national consumer-centric integrated commerce agency, is seeking a Deductions Specialist in Chicago, IL. This hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and offers a salary range of $45,000 to $48,000 based on experience and skills.

You will support clients with deduction inquiries, manage documentation, and process credits to resolve issues. Ideal candidates are organized, detail oriented, and can communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.

Overview of the Role

• Some of our clients are seeking a dedicated Deductions Specialist to assist them with managing, reconciling, and clearing deductions. This CPG detective will be responsible for effectively researching, analyzing, documenting, and resolving a variety of deduction claim types in accordance with client specific standards and procedures. The ideal candidate would be well organized, detail oriented with excellent communication skills, and able to work independently.
• Location: Chicago, IL will observe a hybrid schedule in office 3 days
• Salary range: $45,000 - $48,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills.

• Communicate openly with clients andinternalsales department to resolve deduction inquiries
• Gather claim documentation,investigate,and analyze tovalidatecustomer deductions
• Maintain necessary data to follow up and keep track of deductions
• Process credits to offset resolved deductions
• Workinweb-basedtrade managementsystemsfor contracted customers
• Provide excellent,timely,accurateand professional customer service
• Handle and manage incoming calls and emails from internal & external partners
• Will handle all other tasks as assigned

What You Should Bring to the Table

• Prior CPG deductions experienced (required)
• Must possess good computer skills as well as be a team player with a positive attitude
• Previous professional experience using Microsoft Office
• Organized and detail oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Must be able to solve problems with urgency
• Previouscustomer service experience is a plus
• Prior experience with a broker/manufacturer a plus
