Job summary

A. Duie Pyle, a family-owned transportation and distribution company, is seeking a Dedicated Field Operations Manager for our Northeast operations. You will oversee day-to-day operations for assigned Dedicated Accounts, lead hiring initiatives, and develop staff, reporting to the Director of Dedicated Regional Operations.

Travel up to 50% is required. Responsibilities include onboarding customers and onsite personnel, managing KP&L and KPIs, and ensuring safety and DOT compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of transportation experience, preferably with a Dedicated Account.
• Travel up to 50% as required.
• Proven leadership ability to guide, teach, and mentor staff.
• Strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; MS Office proficiency.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop assigned Dedicated Accounts; travel as required.
• Partner with Operations and Recruiting to onboard customers and onsite staff.
• Oversee P&L for regional financial performance and KPIs.
• Create customer-first solutions and develop action plans.
• Ensure safety and compliance with OSHA and DOT rules.

The Dedicated Field Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing, managing and running the day-to-day operations for their assigned Dedicated Accounts. Additionally, they will lead the hiring initiatives, as well as to educate and develop their staff. The Field Operations Manager will report to the Director of Dedicated Regional Operations Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Managing and developing their assigned Dedicated Accounts. Traveling as required to various customer locations
• Partnering with Operations and Recruiting to ensure proper onboarding of the customers and onsite personal
• Overseeing the P&L for their regional (financial performance forecasting); managing customer and regional KPIs (operational goals)
• Creating customer service first solutions. Recognizing areas that need improvement with a vision to develop an action plan tailored to each account
• Executing necessary precautions to ensure safety and compliance with Company, OSHA, and DOT rules and regulations
• Demonstrating the Pyle Culture through the expansive and repetitive communication of Pyle core values across all levels in the organization

Qualifications:

• Minimum five (5) years of previous transportation experience, ideally within a Dedicated Account Management role
• Travel-50%
• Demonstrated leadership experience; ability to lead, teach, and mentor staff
• Ability to solve complex problems in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills; excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Proficient with MS Office applications; strong computer literacy
• Ability to work all shifts as required
• High School Diploma or equivalent
