Job summary

SafeSplash Alexandria (Kingstowne) is seeking a Deck Supervisor to oversee pool safety, serve as lifeguard on duty, and support swimmers and instructors. You must hold American Red Cross Lifeguard and CPR/AED certifications and have prior swim instruction experience. Prerequisites per Red Cross standards must be met. Qualifications

• Red Cross Lifeguard certification required.
• Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer required.
• Previous swim instruction experience required.
• Must complete lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lifeguard on duty.
• Observe and patrol the pool area, enforcing safety regulations per American Red Cross Lifeguard standards.
• Assist swimmers and swim instructors as needed.
• Provide emergency care and treatment until EMS arrival; prepare and maintain incident reports.

What will you do as a Deck Supervisor?

• Serve as the lifeguard on duty.
• Responsible for observing and patrolling the pool area, enforcing safety regulations as outlined in American Red Cross Lifeguard standards
• Assist swimmers in and around the pool area as well as swim instructors, as needed
• Provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Prepare and maintain appropriate incident reports.

What are we looking for in a Deck Supervisor?

• Maintain Red Cross Lifeguard certification, Red Cross CPR/AED certification for adult, infant and swimmer
• Previous swim instruction experience is required
• Must be able to successfully complete all lifeguarding prerequisites to American Red Cross standards
